Girdhar's mother tells Radha that a husband's rein must be kept under control. She warns her that if the rein is left loose, the husband will slip away. Radha tells Girdhar's mother that her husband is not a horse to be tied down. 

She further tells her that he will always return home. Girdhar's mother warns Radha that her husband's heart might settle outside.

Girdhar tells himself that Shanaya is furious. He worries about pacifying her. He paces on the balcony. Shanaya tells herself that she hates Girdhar. She further declares that he has humiliated her. Girdhar feels helpless.

Girdhar's mother tells Radha that she must not worship her husband while he secretly worships another woman. Radha gets furious. She tells Girdhar's mother that she will show no mercy to any evil woman trying to entice her husband.

She further vows to open Girdhar's eyes completely. Girdhar overhears Radha's vow. He feels stunned. He further feels panicked. He worries that Radha will uncover his secret affair. He trembles.
