Jagadhatri prepares a meal. She arranges the dining table. She tells the family that the food is ready. She waits for everyone to gather. Tapasya enters the dining area. She deliberately sits on Mahesh's chair. Maya notices Tapasya sitting on the chair. She asks Tapasya to get up.

Jagadhatri too tells Tapasya that the chair is reserved for Mahesh. Tapasya gets furious. She tells them that they are treating Jagadhatri better. She further says that she has not received her rightful place. She demands that her share of the property be separated.

Mahesh enters the room. He hears Tapasya's demand. He asks Tapasya what she is saying. Tapasya tells him that she cannot live under the same roof as Jagadhatri. She insists on a partition. Mahesh tells Tapasya that every argument ends in talk of partition. He rebukes her firmly.

Mahesh tells Tapasya that if she only wants division, she is free to leave the house. Tapasya gets stunned. She glares at the family. She storms away from the dining area. Maya watches silently. Jagadhatri feels that the conflict is escalating.

Jagadhatri rushes after Tapasya. She pleads with Tapasya to stay back for the meal. She requests her to calm down. Tapasya tells Jagadhatri that she will not stay. She further says that she will get her rights. The family watches in silence. Tapasya leaves the room.

Tapasya returns to her room. She calls Rudra's mother. She tells her that she demanded partition. Rudra's mother tells Tapasya that she did the right thing. She further tells her to keep fighting. Tapasya decides to take legal steps. She worries that Mahesh will not agree.

Jagadhatri talks to Mahesh. She asks him if he will really allow partition. Mahesh tells her that he will never divide the family. He further says that Tapasya's words are born of anger. Jagadhatri pleads with him to forgive Tapasya. Mahesh tells her that he will handle it. Jagadhatri worries about family unity.
