The police tell the family that they are looking for the owner of vehicle number 5135. Aishwarya tells the police that the vehicle belongs to Varun. Varun asks the police what has happened. The inspector tells Varun that his vehicle was involved in a severe accident. 

He further tells Varun that the victim is critically injured and fighting for their life. Varun pleads with the police for a chance to explain. The police warn Varun that he must come with them. They take Varun into custody.

A crowd gathers outside the family home. A neighbor tells another neighbor that Varun has run someone over with his bike. He further tells the neighbor that Varun was drunk. Another neighbor tells the crowd that Lakshmi and Srinivas have raised children who are a sin.

She further mocks them about what kind of parents they are. Lakshmi hears the words of the neighbors. She feels a sharp pain in her chest. She tells Srinivas that she cannot breathe. She collapses to the ground. Srinivas rushes to her side. The family cries out in panic.

Precap: Srinivas asks a family member to call the ambulance. The neighbors continue to watch. Lakshmi remains unconscious. Varun is taken to the police station.
