Ved feels that Dadi Sa is upset today. He asks her what is troubling her. He further tells her that he will solve her problem. Dadi Sa asks Ved if he means it. Ved tells her that he does.

Dadi Sa tells Ved that the priest advised planting a Tulsi plant. She tells him that only the rightful daughter-in-law must plant it. She further tells him that she does not want Anika to perform the ritual. She says that she wants Saru to return and plant the Tulsi.

Dadi Sa tells Ved that she has taken a vow not to eat or drink until Saru returns. She pleads with Ved to bring Saru home. Ved gets upset. He tells Dadi Sa that he will bring Saru back. He further tells her that he will ensure Saru performs the ritual.

Dadi Sa feels relieved. She tells Ved that she trusts him. She asks Ved to hurry. Ved tells her that he will call Saru immediately.

Ved decides to call Saru today. He calls her. He tells Saru that Dadi Sa has taken a vow. Saru gets surprised. She asks Ved what the vow is.

Ved tells her that Dadi Sa will not eat until she plants a Tulsi at home. Saru gets upset. Saru asks Ved why Dadi Sa chose her. Ved tells her that Dadi Sa only trusts her. He pleads with Saru to return.
