The police arrive at Durgavati’s house. The inspector tells Durgavati that he must arrest her. Durgavati asks the inspector why he returned. She reminds him that Ganga defended her at the temple. The inspector tells her that a formal complaint was filed. He further says that the police must act. Durgavati asks him who filed the complaint.

Siddhu steps forward. He tells Durgavati that he filed the complaint. Durgavati gets upset. She asks Siddhu why he did it. Siddhu tells her that the law should decide. Durgavati pleads with Siddhu to believe her. He tells her that he is doing his duty. Durgavati feels that her son has chosen law over her.

Durgavati tells Siddhu that if he believes she is guilty, he should handcuff her. She further tells him to complete his duty. Siddhu feels torn. He decides to pick up the handcuffs. He puts the handcuffs on Durgavati. Durgavati feels that she cannot control her emotions. The family watches in silence.

Indu watches from a distance. She feels that her plan is working. She decides to stay hidden. She further worries that someone might discover her.
