Kinu asks Radha why his father has not arrived. He tells Radha that his friends are calling him a liar. He throws his birthday hat on the floor. He refuses to cut the cake. He says that his father broke his promise. Radha feels helpless. She tells Kinu that Girdhar will come soon.

A guest asks Radha why the cake cutting is delayed. Another guest complains about the long wait. She further says that the boy’s special day has been ruined. Radha gets upset. She tells the guests that Girdhar must be stuck in traffic. She further asks them to be patient. The guests feel disappointed. Kinu sits in a corner. He does not speak. Radha pleads with Kinu to smile. He refuses.

Girdhar stands stranded by his car on a street. He tries to call Radha. The call does not connect. He tries again. He worries about missing the party. He looks at the time. He tells himself that he must reach home soon. He decides to call Shanaya. She does not answer.

Shanaya sits in a cab nearby. She watches Girdhar through the window. She tells herself that her plan succeeded. She feels satisfied. She further tells herself that Kinu’s birthday is completely ruined. She decides to stay a little longer. She tells the cab driver to wait.

Girdhar gets back in his car. He tells himself that he will explain to Radha later. He decides to drive home immediately. He starts the engine. He worries about Kinu. He tells himself that he should not have gone searching for Shanaya. He drives away from the street.

Radha sits beside Kinu. She tells him that his father will make it up to him. Kinu tells Radha that he does not want any celebration. He further tells her that his father always breaks promises. Radha gets upset. She tells Kinu that his father loves him. A guest tells Radha that they should cut the cake without Girdhar. Radha decides to wait a few more minutes. She looks at the door.

Precap: Girdhar rushes home. Radha sees him entering and asks why he was late. Kinu sees his father but does not greet him. Shanaya calls Girdhar to delay him further.
