A family member brings the morning newspaper into the living room. He tells the gathered family that the front page carries a shocking headline. He reads aloud. He says the headline is “Crorepati Mahesh Deshmukh Ka Kaboolnama”. A senior family member gets upset. She asks what is written.

Another family member reads the article. He reveals that the paper contains Mahesh’s private confession. The senior family member demands to know how this leaked. The family feels that a private document has been made public. A male family member feels that someone deliberately sent it to the newspaper. He further says that only a few people had copies of the confession letter.

The senior family member says that one copy was given to Jagadhatri. She further says that no one else would leak it. A female family member accuses Jagadhatri of giving the letter to the press. She says that Jagadhatri wanted to ruin Mahesh’s reputation.

Jagadhatri enters the room. The senior family member tells her that the newspaper has printed Mahesh’s confession. Jagadhatri gets upset. She asks the family why they think she leaked it. The female family member tells Jagadhatri that she was given a copy.

Jagadhatri denies the accusation. She says that she would never publish it. She reminds the family that she told them to stay away from the matter. The senior family member warns Jagadhatri that the evidence points to her.

Jagadhatri pleads with the family to believe her. She says that someone else must have leaked the letter. The female family member gets furious. She tells Jagadhatri that the family’s trust is broken. Jagadhatri feels that she is being framed. She decides to find out who leaked the confession.
