Dadi tells the family that Bhoomika and Kunal were college friends. Raj gets furious. He asks Kunal why he lied about knowing Bhoomika. Kunal tells Raj that he did not want misunderstandings. Raj feels that Kunal is hiding the truth.

Raj decides to tamper with Kunal's SUV while it is parked outside. He cuts the brake wires under the hood. He tells himself that this is a small punishment for Kunal's lies. He further tells himself that the sabotage will teach Kunal a lesson. He returns inside. He does not speak to anyone.

Kunal tells Bhoomika that he hopes his past does not cause trouble for her. He bids farewell. He decides to drive off. He feels that the car is not responding when he presses the brakes.

He sees the SUV speed dangerously toward a busy street. He narrowly avoids pedestrians. He feels that the SUV is out of control.
