Lakshmi enters the room. She picks up the paper. She sees the form. She reads the names. She tells Srinivas to look at the document.

Srinivas asks the elder son what the form is. The elder son tells them that it is a form for a distant relative. Lakshmi gets upset. She tells him that she saw their names on it. She further tells him that Dadi's name is also written. Srinivas warns the elder son that they know the truth. The elder son pleads with them to not misunderstand. Lakshmi feels betrayed. She worries about their future.

A family member tells Srinivas that the plan has been exposed. The elder son leaves the room. Lakshmi feels shattered. Srinivas tells Lakshmi that they must stay strong.
