The inspector tells Kunal that the police have new information. He asks Kunal if both parties reached a settlement outside the station. Kunal tells the inspector that he does not understand. The inspector turns to Srinivas. 

He tells Srinivas that Varun is not the one who hit the victim. He further tells him that the real culprit is Vivek. Srinivas feels shocked. Kunal feels shocked. Lakshmi too feels shocked. The inspector warns Srinivas that the case is now against Vivek.

Lakshmi enters the ICU. She sees the victim lying on the bed. She sees his oxygen mask. She folds her hands. She tells the victim that she is begging for forgiveness. She further tells him that her son's mistake is unforgivable.

The victim tells Lakshmi that he has already forgiven the culprit. He further tells her that she feels like a sister to him. He asks her not to embarrass him by seeking forgiveness.

Lakshmi feels that his voice is familiar. She tells herself that the voice reminds her of an old bond. She decides to ask the victim about his past later.
