Guruji tells Vasudha that she must follow a difficult path. He further tells her that she must leave the household without informing anyone. He warns her that she must spend the next year living in a village under a hidden identity.

He further warns her that she must perform a daily Jalabhishek at the ancient Mahadev temple in that village. Vasudha feels that the sacrifice is massive. She does not speak.

Guruji tells Vasudha that this penance will protect Prabhat. He further tells her that Chandrika will wholeheartedly accept her as her daughter-in-law only if she completes this condition.

Vasudha asks Guruji if she truly must leave without telling Dev. Guruji tells Vasudha that the condition is absolute. Vasudha decides to accept the penance.
