Dadisa sits on the sofa in the main hall. She coughs violently. She struggles to breathe. She clutches her walking stick. Vasudha sees Dadisa in distress. She rushes toward her with a glass of water. She tells Dadisa that she has brought water and asks her to drink.

Dadisa gets furious. She tells Vasudha that she does not want water from her. She further tells her to leave immediately. She further says that she will never accept help from her. Vasudha feels that the rejection is harsh. She leaves the hall.

Chandrika enters the hall. She sees the shattered glass. She asks Dadisa what happened. Dadisa tells Chandrika that she would rather die than accept care from either of them. She further tells her that even on her deathbed, she would not take a drop of Gangajal from their hands.

She further warns that she would forfeit salvation rather than accept anything. Chandrika feels speechless. Vasudha too feels guilty. They stand in silence.
