She says she wrongly branded her a criminal and questioned her upbringing. She bows her head and asks Durgavati to forgive her. Durgavati remains silent. She watches Sneha without speaking.

Sneha tells Durgavati's mother that she has brought a gift. She further tells her that Ganga sent it as a peace offering. She hands over a wrapped box. Durgavati's mother asks Sneha if she thinks a gift can erase the past.

Sneha tells her that the gift is from her mother's heart. Durgavati's mother gets stern. She refuses to take the box. She warns Sneha that she will accept the gift only after she proves her worth. She further declares that Sneha must pass a test before being accepted as the daughter-in-law of the household.
