Vrinda stops the bicycle at her village home. She tells the driver that it is her house. She steps into the courtyard. Baa sees Vrinda. She cries out to Atul that Vrinda has returned. Atul rushes to the courtyard. He too feels relieved. Vrinda embraces Baa. 

She further embraces Atul. She then embraces a young boy. She asks Baa how she is feeling. Baa tells Vrinda that she is better now. Atul tells Vrinda that they missed her. The young boy too says he missed her. Vrinda feels that she is finally home.

Narendra and his wife enter the courtyard. The family's smiles vanish. Baa asks them if they were supposed to be attending a wedding. Narendra's wife tells Baa that she did not inform them about Vrinda's return. She further tells Baa that it is very disappointing. She turns to Narendra. She tells him that from today, Vrinda's responsibility is on him. Narendra smiles. Vrinda clutches Baa. She feels terrified.

Atul asks Narendra's wife what she means. She tells Atul that the family needs a man to take charge. She further tells him that Narendra will now handle Vrinda's affairs. Vrinda pleads with Baa to not let them control her. Baa tells Narendra to leave.

Narendra warns Baa that they are not going anywhere. He further tells her that they have every right to stay. Atul gets angry. He warns Narendra to leave immediately. Narendra's wife tells Atul that he will regret his words. She decides to stay in the courtyard.

Vrinda worries about what they plan. She tells Baa that she will not let them ruin the family. Baa tells Vrinda to stay strong. Atul tells Narendra that they will not let him take control. Narendra tells his wife that they must wait for the right moment. He decides to stay in the house. His wife agrees. Vrinda feels that danger has entered the courtyard.
